The year 2020 is coming to the end and though it has been a difficult year for all, it has certainly set us to reflect that we are all in the same boat.  Sharing and caring is our resolute to stay strong. With this in mind, we had a beautiful Christmas Cheer for the Pakistani Refugees who come under UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees), in Kajang. There are 25 families living in the vicinity of Kajang. Pastor Riaz arranged for the families to get together at the residence of Junior Pastor Usman.

Our members got together to bring gifts, sweets and angpows for the children, and a meal of pizzas and KFC for all.  We also catered each household with groceries that will help them through the festive period.

The children did some lovely carolling and the afternoon was further made poignant with the recitation by Pastor Riaz’s children Rachel Riaz and Robinson Riaz. The message rendered by Rachel was on universal love as said in the Bible. It was amazing to watch this child, 10 years of age speaking with such conviction.  The video of her message was not very clear due to the background sounds and thus a post recorded video is attached for viewers.

Junior Pastor Usman later handed out the groceries that weighed 10kg each to the 25 families who were very happy to receive this.

Most of these families have been in Malaysia for above 7 years and are still awaiting for UNCHR to place them in countries that will accept them. They live each day in the hope of finding a country where they can make a home.
