Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur
22 December 2020
At 6 AM in the morning of 22 December 2020, the President of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur, Mrs Caylice Sabado took a day trip. Together with the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) and several other NGOs, they travelled on 9 four-wheel pick-up trucks and headed up to the north of Kuala Lumpur to visit Kampong Kabang, 124 km away, to carry out a Christmas project for 48 Orang Asli families.
The journey took them around 5 hours on the highway to the State of Pahang and an additional of 20 minutes through rocky terrain roads into the interior part of the village. Once the entourage arrived at the destination, the Chief of the Kampong together with the 48 families and children were already gathered together to welcome them with great excitement. President Caylice Sabado accompanied by another in-coming member of IWCKL, Mrs Anna Chua, presented 48 inner Wheel yellow bags consisting the following items to all the families:-
The presentation ended at 2 PM. Before heading back to the city of Kuala Lumpur, they drove to Cameron Highlands to have a quick meal. The project was carried out successfully without any glitch even though the City of Kuala Lumpur is still under RMCO (Recovery Movement Control Order). The entourage arrived home safely at 10 PM.
