With the state of Selangor going into Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan, some of IWCSS members decided to pay homage to Lord Murugan at Batu Caves temple.  In the Hindu scriptures, Lord Murugan is known to be the protector of body, soul and heals physical, mental as well as emotional diseases of his devotees.

A very quiet and serene atmosphere at the temple awaited them and the members had a good darshan (beholding the deity, Lord Murugan), prayed for their families’ well-being, also for the Recovery Plan to succeed and normalcy return to our nation.  DNR Parimala, IPDC Shanti, PP Rani, Secretary Tara and ISO Rajani then proceeded to have a vegetarian breakfast at the nearby Divyaa’s Café.

Soon after, they paid a visit to Sai Ananda Foundation where the Free Dialysis centre was. IWCSS had raised funds with Elite Entrepreneurs and these monies were channelled to Sai Ananda in the last 2 months.  It was an awe-inspiring experience for them to witness the excellent management of this non-profit, multi-faith NGO that carries out community enhancement projects to uplift the poor and needy of all races and even the refugees in our country.

The foundation runs solely on generous benevolent contributions and has philanthropists as well as professionals rendering their services for free.  Please view the photos attached to see the extent of their facilities which include a dialysis centre (starts at 6.30am to 4 pm), outpatient clinic, dental clinic,  dispensary and kindergarten.  They also have skills enhancement and coaching sessions in cooking and baking for B40 women; and their products are sold during festivals or on orders.  Daily meals are prepared and given to those who visit this centre for treatment.

Tara, Secretary of IWCSS had sponsored the meal for the day as it was her birthday and club members assisted in packing the food into individual packs.  They came away with fortitude in their hearts that this is one of the organisations that can reach out to those in need, in a structured and well organised manner.

The Club salutes Sai Ananda Foundation and all the volunteers for their selfless service and brilliant work carried out.
