The Food Bank is an ongoing monthly initiative of the Inner Wheel Club of Johor Bahru (IWC JB) which started in June 2021. Club Member Sham had duly identified 2 families as recipients for November 2021.
On 6th November 2021, she arranged one set of groceries for a family of 5 and a second set for a family of 6 in Masai, Johor Bahru. As it was still Deepavali season, Sham did some marketing for both the families and also presented red packets to them on behalf of IWC JB.
Ammie Lee, an ex-member of IWC JB who still keeps in touch, generously contributed some items for families in need. Sham distributed these items to 2 Indian families and a Chinese family. Additionally, ISO Sheena also presented red packets and new clothes for the children of both these families.
