Deepavali cheer to the PJ Caring Home

IWC of Kuala Lumpur North brought cheer to the PJ Caring Home during this auspicious festival month of Deepavali.
Together with contributions from its members and some funds from the Club, a sumptuous lunch was provided for 120 people at this Home. The mouth-watering dishes included Sweet & Sour Chicken, Tofu with Vegetables and Fried Kway Teow.
The PJ Caring Home houses 60 men and 40 women who are mostly mentally challenged and a few elderly folk who are unable to care for themselves.
The lunch was a treat for all the residents and they really enjoyed the lunch as can be seen from the photographs (due to stringent COVID-19 restrictions, members were not allowed to go into the Home). The inmates were happy and full of gratitude for remembering them during the ongoing celebrations of the Festival of Lights.
