Club Correspondents' Training: Using PowerPoint
District 330
15 December 2021
The Club Correspondents (CCs) of Inner Wheel District 330 for term 2021-2022 have proved to be an exuberant and enthusiastic bunch of ladies. As such, District Editor Padmini Pillai and District Webmaster Lucy Barrock have been inspired to organise training sessions for them to further empower and equip them with skill-sets and possibly turn them into future Club and District leaders.
A series of virtual training programmes are already underway and many capable and talented Inner Wheel members have been roped in to conduct classes gratis for the CCs. These efforts have been largely well received and the number of attendees for the virtual training sessions has been very encouraging.
The latest training session on the use of PowerPoint and its many applications, was held on 15th December 2021. It was conducted by International Service Organiser, Patricia Shanta Rao of Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar. Patricia who is a teacher by profession, deftly engaged the participants and imparted much knowledge to them.
Attendees learnt to prepare slides for presentations, add images, texts, even music and also use such features as transitioning and animation. Patricia’s approach was one of encouragement and the ease with which she showed the steps had everyone enthralled and eager to use their newly acquired knowledge.
The District Website and its Social Media platforms have been buzzing with articles as never before. It is set to have a commanding web-presence thanks to the publicity generated by the news reports coming in of the various social and fellowship activities of the clubs in District 330. The latter half of term 2021-2022 promises to be even more exciting as the CCs attend to their tasks armed with the useful skills they have acquired.
