School uniforms for students affected by the floods

he aftermath of the horrendous flood that hit Taman Sri Muda in December is very distressing and it takes a huge effort for these victims to bring back some normalcy to their day-to-day life. With the national schools reopening in January, it is no easy feat for students to get back to school as many have lost their books and clothes (including school uniforms).
One of IWCSS member Asha, who teaches at the SMK Taman Sri Muda brought to the attention of the Club, that some students have attended school with ill-fitting non uniform clothes picked up from relief centres.
IWCSS swung into action to purchase a set of uniform each for some of these students. Asha personally attended to the purchase of these uniforms. The students had a grim look as they lined up at the payment counter. It is no guess what goes on in their mind.
It is with earnest and heartfelt hope that these students will soon get into the routine of schooling and studying and rebuilding their lives. Time will help and the memories of the terrible devastation will soon fade away.
