Tips on virtual communication by Vidhya Mol Y Menon
District 330
22 January 2022
District Editor Padmini Pillai organised a virtual tech class once again for members of District 330 with the help of the Club Correspondents in the District, on 22nd January 2022. The instructor this time was Vidhya Mol, the Club Correspondent of the oldest club in the district: Inner Wheel Club of Ipoh.
Vidhya Mol covered an amazing range of tech knowledge in just one and a half hours to 30 awestruck participants. Topics covered included optimising the use of gadgets such as Smartphones and Computers through the use of popular applications.
She was a patient instructor teaching all the functions available in Google such as Gmail, Google Drive, Forms, Spreadsheets, Slides, Storage, Photobank, Group sharing, Classroom and so on. She also touched on Whatsapp, Telegram and Facebook. She gave a short briefing on cyber security as well as privacy and fielded all questions with ease. Her magnetic personality and exuberance kept the participants engaged.
Inner Wheel members of District 330 have been fortunate because of the effort expended to facilitate a continuous education opportunity for those interested in updating their skills and familiarising themselves with tech. Classes organised thus far include the use of the Zoom virtual platform; designing posters, cards etc. with Canva and preparing presentations with PowerPoint.
The response for the classes has been encouraging and it is indeed gratifying to note that many members truly appreciate the opportunity accorded to them with such classes. The instructors have been Inner Wheel members from District 330 who have selflessly shared their time and knowledge in the true spirit of Inner Wheel sisterhood.
