Chinese New Year Cheer by IWC of Petaling Jaya

On the 6th of February 2022, the Inner Wheel Club of Petaling Jaya (IWC PJ) brought festive cheer to the Thean Hsiang Old Folks Home in PJ Old Town. This brought much joy to the residents there.
President Lysa Kuruvilla together with Club Correspondent Monica Chong and members Yew Hoon and Kim visited the home with packed lunch-boxes, delicious desserts and festive red packets of money or angpau. The ladies also brought along provisions for the home.
The lunar year of the Tiger has certainly brought smiles to the old folks who look forward to gifts especially during the Chinese New Year. Many organizations come a calling bearing presents and festive goodies which these people in their twilight years await with much anticipation.
IWC PJ has once again shown its mettle by serving the poor and marginalized during a popular festive season. Families get together and celebrate their traditions and observe many cultural practices as they usher in the Lunar New Year.
