A PINK FIRST BIRTHDAY

A pink top, a pink tudung, a pink handbag, a pair of pink shoes – these were the bits and bobs that made for a wholesome PINK FIRST birthday celebration for incoming President of Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar (IWC AS), Tunku Zamharir Tunku Daud on 13 May 2022.
Tunku Zamharir (or TZ as she is fondly known) who will take over the reins as President on 1 July 2022, turned a year older on 12 May 2022. Several members of IWC AS met up at the Blackwood Café in Alor Setar to celebrate her birthday, in a style befitting the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, i.e., sans MySejahtera, masks and social distancing.
It was truly a most meaningful gathering as many had not met face-to-face in a while. After the customary greetings, the first half an hour saw a silent gathering as everyone just dived in and enjoyed the sumptuous meal, followed by the decadent ice cream chocolate cake.
Once the table was cleared, members started chatting and sharing long overdue stories. There was total agreement that gatherings like this must be organised every now and then.
TZ expressed her delight and thanked everyone for this most unexpected celebrations as well as the presents she received. IWC AS looks forward to a very promising and active year under the stewardship of much loved TZ and team.
