The Inner Wheel Club of Klang (IWC Klang) in collaboration with IWC Ipoh and National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) organised a Virtual Talk over Zoom to enhance Breast Cancer awareness on 9th October aptly during the ‘Pink’ month which is dedicated to this specific type of Cancer.

 

IWC Klang’s President Dr. Theyveeka, IWC Ipoh’s Dr Sumithra and Dr Thasha from NCSM facilitated the talk and even did a hands-on demonstration on how to perform self-examination for breast lumps.

 

The topics were arranged in the following order:

1. “Save your Breast from Cancer with regular Breast Self  Examination” by Dr. Sumithra.
2. Breast Self-Examination hands-on demo by President Dr. Theyveeka.
3. Sharing of experiences by Cancer Survivors
4. “Challenges Faced in Breast Screening” by Dr.Thasha.

 

About 100 participants attended the interactive session which was informative, useful and well presented. IWC Klang is set to work wonders as the home club of District Chairman Krishnaveni Mutthiah with Dr Theyveeka at the helm.
