The sharing of food has always been part of the human story. “To break bread together” captures the power of a meal to forge relationships, bury anger and provoke laughter (National Geographic). The ladies at IWCSS live up to this every time they meet for food and fun.
Deepavali lunch on 16th October at La Cocina Restaurant and Tapas Bar at Taipan Subang Jaya saw them decked in their ‘Deepavali Best.’ PP Sumodhini organized this lovely fellowship meet, choosing the tastiest of dishes and ensuring that both the vegetarians and the non -vegetarians went back home satiated and impressed with her diligence to detail. Paella Verduras, mixed vegetable casserole, blueberry pancakes, Crema Catalana and more filled their bellies.
Some of the members brought along their husbands and this reflected genuine fellowship. The ‘guys’ added more gaiety to the afternoon with their relaxed demeanor and enthusiasm to be part of a lovely meal with a bevy of beauties to impress.
The ladies looked smashing in their saris and Punjabi suits, and their laughter and smiles tell the story of camaraderie and togetherness.
Post covid, IWCSS has genuinely made an effort to focus on fellowship gatherings. After all the Inner Wheel motto is about bringing women together from different walks of life to enjoy the emotional benefits of sisterhood!
