IWCKL November General Meeting cum Deepavali Fellowship lunch

On the 2nd November 2022, The Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) had their General Meeting cum Deepavali Fellowship. It was held at The Royal Commonwealth Society of Malaysia, Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.
During the general meeting, a minute of silence was observed to honour and show respect to the Club’s dearly departed member Chandrika. President Jinny Lum updated the meeting on the ongoing and forthcoming projects. As usual the candle was lit, and the Candle of Friendship was recited. Following the Lucky draws, November Birthday and Wedding Anniversary girls cut a celebration cake. The meeting was short, sweet and very informative. Everyone was excitedly looking forward to the Deepavali Fellowship.
The Hall was decorated to reflect the festive occasion. Forty two Club members and 3 guests were present to celebrate the Festival of Lights as One Big Family! The Dress Code was “Your best Diwali Festive Attire.” Ning was declared the Winner of Best-dressed in Saree and she was rewarded with a lovely painting. Those present were mostly dressed in saree or Indian attire.
The Club thanks gracious hosts Navam, Rajeswari, Datin Dr Retnavathi and Nagalingam (hubby of the Late Mrs Chandrika) for such the wonderful and sumptuous Deepavali celebration lunch. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food, great fellowship, and wonderful comradeship, and lots of fun & laughter. Among the dishes served were Mutton curry, Fried Chicken, Vegetable kurma, Brinjal sambar, Fish cutlet, Cakes, Murukku and Cookies etc. The Club will be celebrating to Work Wonders and have more festive get-togethers.
