CPR & AED Awareness Talk
Inner Wheel Club of Klang

A Public Talk to bring about awareness of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) was conducted by President Dr Theeveka of the Inner Wheel Club of Klang (IWC Klang). This was a joint project done in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kelana Jaya (RC Kelana Jaya).
During the talk, President Dr Theeyveka stressed on the importance of having at least 1 person per household being trained to perform CPR & AED. This is would help educate family members to use their knowledge to save lives in their homes and neighbourhoods.
CPR is an emergency procedure used if a person’s heart stops beating or breathing ceases. AED is a portable devise used to treat people suffering from sudden cardiac arrest. About 30 people participated and benefited from this awareness program.
The event ended with flag exchange between the two clubs. IWC Klang with Dr Theyveeka at the helm is well placed to Work Wonders especially in the field of Medical social service.
