Blood Donation Drive – A Most Meaningful Project

On 10 January 2024, Inner Wheel marked its 100th anniversary. In celebrating the Centennial year, and inspired by this milestone and the spirit of personal service, District 330 joined hands with District 331 to organise a regional blood donation campaign on 13 January 2024.


Responding eagerly, IWC AS engaged in fruitful discussions with the Blood Bank in Alor Setar to orchestrate the campaign at a mall in the city.

As dawn broke on the 13th, the rendezvous took place at the mall, where over 50 donors, embodying selflessness, stepped forward.


In a gesture of appreciation, IWC AS presented each donor with a thoughtful goodie bag. Recognizing the vital role of the Blood Bank, the Club took pride in contributing to the life-saving supply of various blood types for those in urgent need.


This endeavour was not just a local initiative; it resonated with a nationwide blood donation drive, a most fitting tribute to Inner Wheel whose very cornerstone is compassion and selfless service.


A heartfelt gratitude is extended to the Blood Bank of Alor Setar for their collaboration, and above all, to the donors whose selfless act illuminated the path of hope for those in need. It was indeed a project which ensured IWC AS lived up to the 2023 – 2024 theme of SHINE A LIGHT.
