DC Krishnaveni Mutthiah’s visit

On 12th February, 2023, District Chairman Krishnaveni Mutthiah made an official visit to two clubs simultaneously. IWC of Penang and IWC of Pearl of the Orient organised a joint club meeting at Flower Mulan Nyonya Cafe, Pulau Tikus. This place is decorated with beautiful flowers and also serves delicious Nyonya food which is a pleasant attraction to many patrons. President Arvind’s guests, Dana and Kulwant, potential members for IWC of Penang were also invited to the meeting.
DC Krishnaveni had a closed-door meeting with some committee members before meeting up with others from both clubs. At the closed-door meeting, President Arvind presented club and treasurer reports. After listening to the reports, DC gave some valuable advice to committee members present at the meeting.
Before proceeding to business, the meeting started off with the lighting of Candle of Friendship and reading of poem. DC Krishnaveni addressed the two clubs with some encouraging words before everyone enjoyed the fun of tossing some “Yee Sang” to signify abundance, prosperity and good fortune. Besides enjoying the delectable nyonya food, everyone also satisfied their taste buds with some sweet chocolate cake as dessert. DC Krishnaveni was also presented mementos by both the clubs. It was a fun and lively meeting with much laughter and warm fellowship.
