Celebrating International Women's Day
Inner Wheel Club of Kuantan/Indera Mahkota

The Inner Wheel Club of Kuantan/ Indera Mahkota (IWC Kuantan/IM) celebrated International Women's Day by donating 6 cartons of sanitary napkins for the female prison inmates at Bentong Prison. This has been an ongoing club project carried out annually. The club has collaborated with Mizani Trading for this joint community project headed by Pn Sherifah Nor Hana from Shell Bukit Setongkol.
Club President, Mdm Sri Shangari Subramaniam and Pn Sherifah Nor Hana handed over the 6 cartons to Pn Aishah, a representative of the officer in charge of Bentong Prison. Members of the club were also present to render their support and appreciation towards this community service project in conjunction with International Women's Day.
Also present was a potential member, Dr Nanthini, who was surprised to hear that prison inmates had to use cut pieces of sanitary napkins as there was insufficient funds to purchase sanitary napkins for them. IWC Kuantan/IM is proud to have been part of this meaningful project and looks forward to continuing this project annually.
