Children are precious beings and when they suffer it is heartbreaking. A head injury and a stroke left beautiful 6-year-old Kavya paralyzed on her right side and unable to talk. Long hospital stays and suffering serious convulsions did not break her spirit and smile. Adding on to her debilitating condition was the fact that she did not have the most pleasant childhood until her aunt took on the responsibility of caring for her after her medical episode. The doctors remain fairly optimistic that she will make sufficient enough recovery to go about her daily needs. There is optimism, but no guarantees.
When she was discharged from hospital the aunt requested for a stroller that would enable them to seat her in a comfortable position while feeding and also help to move her around. IWCSS was quick in responding to this request and a suitable stroller was purchased and delivered for her use. This little girl needs all the prayers and blessings. She is currently being cared for by her paternal grandparents. Wishing her a full recovery. May her sweet smile melt hearts.
