Palliative Care Sunshine Hour

The Inner Wheel Club of Ipoh East held an event called the Palliative Care Sunshine Hour on 12th of April 2023 from 2pm to 4pm at the Perak Palliative Care Society. A total of nine members including President Sarala attended the event alongside an approximate number of eighteen cancer survivors, a few staffs and nurses.
President Sarala gave a short and sweet welcoming speech followed by two activities which included the stringing of jasmine flowers. The participants were divided into three groups which were then facilitated by the club members.
The participants were taught how to string the flowers and were given a set of flowers of their own. Once completing their individual flower strings, they were then asked to join all their flower strings together, forming a long string of flowers.
All were happy and excited. The participants were also involved in a game of musical chairs and there was so much enthusiasm also laughter during the time of play.
The winners of the games were awarded gifts. At the end of the session, President Sarala and her members handed out tokens of appreciation for each participant.
Afterwards, they had a tea party with all those present. The event ended with a group photo. It was a successful event indeed!
