Dental Project At Desa Wawasan Flats In Bukit Mertajam

The Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth conducted yet another Dental Camp with Sentosa Dental Group for thirty children at the Desa Wawasan Flats in Bukit Mertajam on the 29th April 2023. This two- hour function was officiated by the Honourable State Assembly Woman for Padang Lalang YB Chong Eng.
This project was coordinated by Club Secretary Dr. Jayashri Nerali who is also a Lecturer at the Penang International Dental College with a Dental doctor and four assistants and facilitated by Mr Yoganraj of MPKK Taman Seri Rambai Fasa 2 in Bukit Mertajam. Children below 12 years were shown the correct method of brushing as well as flossing their teeth and had their teeth examined.
Those that required more intensive intervention were encouraged to go for follow up treatment at the Penang International Dental College. President Datin Santhi Sundara helped YB Chong Eng in handing over goody bags to all the children and a sumptuous lunch was also organised.
The Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth also has an ongoing tuition project for the children residing at the flats. It was a memorable and worthy few hours indeed spent with the children.
