Greet, Meet & Eat – A Wonderful Eid Mubarak Celebration

On 30 April 2023, members of IWC AS met at the home of Tengku Maheran for their general meeting. It was a very fruitful meeting with so many issues discussed and ironed out, including plans for the next two months before the 2022 – 2023 term comes to an end.
The plans included a visit to the Tzu Chi recycling centre in Alor Setar to learn about the art of vegetarian cooking using bitter gourd as the main ingredient (6 May). This would be followed with a visit to the Chocolate and Wrapper Factory in Napoh (7 May) where members can learn the steps involved in making their own chocolates.
Another plan in the pipeline is to donate one month’s provisions to 10 deserving families in the Gurun area in conjunction with the holy month of Syawal and the birthday of President Tunku Zamharir (12 May). Members were excited to learn that a programme on the art of making handicraft would be arranged as well (19 May).
In addition to all the exciting programmes set in motion, Tengku Maheran and Tunku Munirah played hosts to the Eid Mubarak celebrations with a most sumptuous and lip-smacking spread. Members also took the opportunity to catch up on all the happenings and it was truly a most satisfying day to see everyone enjoying the delicious meal whilst forging even more closer ties with one another. After all, Inner Wheel is all about friendship and members of IWC AS are on track to evince that it is friendship that has kept the Club together, strong and resilient.
