Club Correspondents’ Training
District 330

The Club Correspondents (CCs) of Inner Wheel District 330 is a group that has to hit the ground running because as the new Inner Wheel Year starts, Clubs start installing their new Executive Committees and these are normally reported. As such, District Editor (DE) Lucy Barrock and District Webmaster (DW) Jaya Ranjitham Samuel organised virtual training sessions for all the ladies in two batches.
District Chairman (DC) Kamala A. Yeap and District Secretary (DS) Jillian Estrop also called in and gave the ladies valuable advice and encouragement as their role in their respective clubs is deemed vital to keep clubs in the news and their fellow members motivated to initiate and participate in projects. The clubs also gain publicity when their activities are reported on the various social media platforms that the District and International Inner Wheel are active in.
On 18th July 2023, the first batch of twelve CCs attended the training and was introduced to the brand-new reporting templates and themes for the Centennial year of Inner Wheel. They were shown the ropes on how to send their Clubs’ activity reports with photographs attached in emails to DE Lucy for International Inner Wheel social media platforms and DW Jaya for District website and social media sites.
The second batch of Club Correspondents attended training on 25th July 2023 and once again DC Kamala called in and dispensed encouraging words of wisdom. Clubs have already started reporting activities that are being posted on Facebook and Instagram. The District Website also will be publishing these activities as they are reported by the CCs of the eighteen clubs in the District.
In the last Inner Wheel term of 2022-2023, over two hundred reports were received from CCs in District 330. The current batch of CCs seemed engaged and excited gauging from the questions they posed at the Q&A session afterwards. Activities conducted at the District level will be reported by the DE and DW who promised to be ever helpful and available day and night for assistance.
