Inner Wheel Club of Taiping members met for Handover/ Installation meeting cum dinner at 6 pm on 14th July 2023 at The New Club Taiping. The Guests of Honour were Toh Puan Datin Hj Norisa (wife of Dato’ Haji Wan Isa ,Orang Besar Jajahan Larut Matang & Selama) and Mrs. Esther Ng (wife of YB Teh Kok Lim, Perak State Executive Council). CC/ISO Viji Kishen was the master of ceremony. As usual, the protocol of lighting of the candle and reciting the Candle of Friendship poem was observed.
Past President Harvinder Kaur gave her farewell speech in which she thanked her fellow members for a successful term. She gifted all the members with a souvenir. She then handed over President’s regalia and installed Harbajan Kaur as the President for the term 2023-2024.
President Harbajan Kaur in her inaugural address thanked everyone and gave an insight into some of the projects she plans to achieve in her term. She introduced her Executive Committee for 2023/2024 and presented each with a badge and a rose.
She then presented a cake with the theme ‘Shine a Light’ and celebrated the birthdays of club members. The ladies adjourned to a sumptuous dinner and fellowship.
The club will be 70 years old next year, has undertaken many laudable projects and will continue the trend with President Harbajan at the helm.
