This quote has been resonating with IWC AS members but feelings like, ‘I have no rhythm, dancing is hard, I’m too shy to dance in public, I have two left feet’, - have been keeping members away from the dance floor.
On Friday 28 July, members put aside these fears and unwarranted pre-conceptions, boldly put on their dancing shoes and convened at the home of veteran dancer and member, Tengku Maheran Tunku Mukhtar, for the first of the many dancing sessions which she plans to coach over several weeks. Members hope to not only enjoy themselves but also get rid of stress, stay in shape and gain more self-confidence.
The first ‘cha cha cha’ session was enjoyable indeed and going by the enthusiasm, IWC AS may be ultimately producing the next Dancing Queen, or so it is fervently hoped.
Way to go Tengku Maheran and the budding dancers - let’s Shine a Light through our nimble jives and moves. Let us get ready to WOW at the Fellowship Nite of District 330.
