IWC AS PARTICIPATES IN DISTRICT FELLOWSHIP NITE AND AGM

On 22 to 23 September 2023, five IWC AS members and two guests attended the Fellowship Nite and AGM of District 330 held at the Eastin Hotel in KL. Responding to the District’s call to put up a performance, IWC AS members took the stage to perform the traditional and enchanting Zapin dance to the music of the song Ya Salam, which had been practiced tirelessly. Led by the talented dance instructor, Shaik, the dancers were dressed in black, embellished with a cross-body kain songket, a belly dance waist belt and a beautiful golden scarf. The audience could not help but clap thunderously and enthusiastic cheers reverberated the air.
The following day, during the AGM, the five members, filled with pride, walked into the hall carrying the banner and placard to represent IWC AS. There was a lively exchange of ideas and numerous thought-provoking questions were raised. The event concluded on a warm note with the exchange of Inner Wheel flags, symbolizing the unity and friendship that transcends borders and truly defines what Inner Wheel stands for.
On 24 September, the five members and two guests boarded the north-bound train to return home, cherishing the memories of their time in KL, and proud to be a part of an organisation dedicated to service and friendship.
