District Chairman’s Club Visit 2023

On 8th October 2023, Sunday, District Chairman (DC) Kamala Yeap, District Vice Chairman (DVC) T. Vimalavathi and District Editor (DE) Lucy Barrock officially visited the Inner Wheel Club of Taiping.
The meeting was held at 11:00 a.m. in the New Club Taiping and conducted by CC/ISO Viji Kishen. After the lighting of the candle and recitation of the Friendship Poem, President Harbajan Kaur highlighted the club activities that have been carried out to date.
She also mentioned her former student (the daughter of a single mother) whom IWC Taiping has been helping financially last four years. She had also invited three single mothers with their children for lunch with the District Chairman. They were presented with a cash donation as a Deepavali gift.
DC Kamala in her address, praised the club for the activities carried out and being relevant for 69 years. She was very happy with the warmth and camaraderie among members. DVC Vimala also thanked the club for their hospitality and advised to continue with the good work. DE Lucy encouraged the club to have their own Facebook and Instagram Account to highlight the club’s activities.
President Harbajan then presented DC Kamala, with her hand-made jade and agate crystals necklace and earrings as a souvenir from the club.
The meeting proceeded with a celebration of members' birthdays and ended with a sumptuous lunch.
