Deepavali Charity project

Deepavali is a festival celebrated in all the grandeur and magnificence. It signifies the victory of goodness over the evil and light over the inner darkness. When the homes and streets come alive with twinkling lights and are filled with aroma of delectable foods, the act of giving, sharing and charity also becomes an integral part of celebration.

In keeping up with this spirit of sharing, the treasurer, Bibee, of the Inner Wheel Club of KLCC, organised a charity event on 4th of December, 2023 at a Shell Station owned by her son Yassin, in Kota Damansara. There were 5 charity recipients from the government PPR flats, mostly the single mothers. Present from the club were the club president Karen Loo, Datin Pearl, club treasurer Bibee and the club secretary Jit Dev. The president of the club presented RM100 cash and a goody bag each to the recipients.

The goody bag was sponsored by the owner of the Shell Station and a club member, Sabiah donated RM500 during the installation and this money was used by the club to fund this project.
