Fundraise (milk powder) to Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Yee Ran Jing Sheh

Members of IWC Butterworth were alerted by one of their own, lawyer Wong Vi Vian that there were children with special needs in a home who required the formula Ensure Gold. Four of the forty children were completely on a liquid diet as they were unable to eat and could only swallow.

The project was initiated at the time of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon with members’ generous support. Finally, seventy- six tins of fortified milk were purchased from Healthy Pharmacy Sdn Bhd for a discounted price to be delivered to Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Yee Ran Jing Sheh on Friday, 22nd March 2024 at 12.30 pm. The pharmacy also very kindly donated other products suitable for the children.

Six club members led by President Shanthi K Shanmugam visited the home and were warmly welcomed by one of its committee members Ms Leong Hooi Kim and caretaker Ms Mallika Krishna. The home is well maintained and the residents some of whom have developmental disorders appeared to be well taken care of.

This project is in line with International Inner Wheel’s theme of ‘Shine a Light’. IWC Butterworth wanted to highlight some of the recipients of its many projects so they would get further aid from well-wishers and be able to function seamlessly.
