Report on IWC Taiping Handover Meeting/Dinner

1. Last Meeting for the Term 2023-2024
The meeting commenced with President Harbajan Kaur wrapping up the activities and achievements of the term 2023-2024. She highlighted the club’s initiatives, successful events, and community service projects that had a positive impact over the past year.

2. Lighting of the Candle and Reading of the Candle of Friendship Poem
The handover ceremony was conducted by PP Karamjeet Kaur.
A symbolic candle lighting ceremony was conducted, followed by the recitation of the poem. This tradition underscored the bonds of camaraderie and mutual support among members.

3. Speech by President Harbajan Kaur
President Harbajan Kaur delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing her gratitude to the committee and all members for their unwavering support and dedication. She also presented friendship bracelets as tokens of appreciation, reinforcing the spirit of unity and friendship within the club.

4. Handover of the Regalia to Incoming President
In a significant moment of the evening, the regalia was ceremoniously handed over to the incoming President for the term 2024-2025, Viji Kishen. This act symbolized the transfer of leadership and responsibility.

5. Speech by Incoming President 2024-2025, Viji Kishen
Viji Kishen, the new incoming
President, addressed the attendees with an inspiring speech. She outlined her vision for the upcoming term, emphasizing the club’s ongoing commitment to community service and member engagement.

6. Introduction of Committee Members and Presentation of Souvenirs
The incoming President introduced her new committee members, each of whom received a warm welcome and a commemorative souvenir, symbolizing the start of a new chapter in the club’s journey.

7. Dinner and Fellowship
The formal proceedings concluded with a delightful dinner served at Raintree Kitchen. Members and guests enjoyed a time of fellowship, reflecting on the past term’s achievements and looking forward to future endeavours.

The evening was a perfect blend of formalities and camaraderie, marking a smooth transition of leadership while celebrating the club’s shared goals and achievements.
