Fifth General annual meeting

Eighteen members of IWC Butterworth attended the Club’s 5Th Annual General Meeting (AGM) to confirm among others , its Sixth Executive Committee with President Shanti K Shanmugam at the helm. The meeting took place at the conference room of Sentosa Dental Clinic on Saturday, 20th July 2024 at 3:00 pm.

After the observation of the usual Inner Wheel protocols such as the lighting of the Candle of Friendship and the recitation of the friendship Poem, President Shanti warmly welcomed everyone in her opening address and the AGM business section commenced.

Outgoing Club secretary Dr. Lalitha Ramasamy put up a superb PowerPoint presentation and the business section of the meeting moved forward swiftly yet cordially. President Shanti also took the opportunity to thank her team from the previous term.

As it was the first meeting of the new term, the new logos, themes and IIW President’s goals for the first term of the second century of Inner Wheel were introduced and discussed. President Shanti also introduced her goals amidst much cheering and claps of support.

As always, the most awaited part was the Fellowship over Hi Tea after the meeting concluded. Members enjoyed a wide variety of delicious teatime favourites with hot Masala Chai to wash it all down. Everyone was looking forward to the next general meeting which will be held at a Club member’s residence next month.
