Teddy Bears Project

IWC Ipoh East’s first project for the term 2024-2025 was a visit to Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Gugusan Manjoi – a centre for special needs children on 21st July 2024.

This care centre caters for about 20 children with neurodevelopmental disorders such attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disability conduct disorders & also Down syndrome.

lt is financially supported by the government and managed by the Chairperson, Pn. Maizatulsima bt Mohanmad, the Caretaker, Pn Saleha bt Che Morad & their team of dedicated volunteers.

It was not only a heart wrenching but also a heartwarming experience. Members spent time interacting & dancing with children. The session ended by giving teddy bears, goodie boxes & packed lunch from Mary Brown to all the children.

Dancing with the kids’ Chicken dance and other favourite songs during the visit to this centre.
