August Cheers to OBJ of LMS & Proceeds With AGM
On 15.8.24, the President of IWC of Taiping, Vijayalaxmi Kandasamy along with three other members visited the OBJ of Larut,Matang & Selama Y.A.Bhg Orang Kaya Menteri Paduka Tuan, Dato’ Haji Wan Mohd Isa bin Dato’ Haji Wan Mohd Razali whose spouse, Toh Puan Hajjah Norisha bt Abdul Rahman is an honorary member of IWC, Taiping. Despite having undergone knee surgery, Dato’ Haji Wan Mohd Isa resumed his official duties within a week, showcasing his resilience and dedication.
Following this activity, 15 members of the IWC of Taiping convened at 6 pm at the New Club, Taiping for the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Outgoing President, Harbajan Kaur expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the members for their unwavering support throughout her tenure.Then ,the outgoing President conducted the AGM.The club secretary’s report and the treasurer’ s accounts were adopted and passed.
The election then proceeded with Vijayalaxmi Kandasamy elected as President and 10 members as the Executive Committee for the term 2024-2025. Thanking the members, the new President chaired the club meeting.
After the club meeting, a delightful fellowship session ensued, featuring a sumptuous dinner hosted by the President in celebration of her birthday which was on 21.8.24.The birthdays of two other August born members- Harvinder Kaur and Ong Bok Kin were also celebrated with joy and cheer, marking another year of wisdom and happiness.
The evening concluded with laughter and camaderie as the President introduced a “Name Game” to enhance memory and prevent dementia, adding a thoughtful and engaging touch to the celebration.
