Wild Adventures
The IWC of Taiping organised and sponsored a memorable zoo trip for students from the rural school of SJKT Kg.Jebong Lama, aiming to provide an enriching out -of-classroom learning experience. A total of 19 students, accompanied by 7 teachers, joined the event which took place on 11.9.24.
Upon arrival, the students were warmly greeted by President, K.Vijayalaxmi, PP Harvinder Kaur, Exco Doris Cheah and PP G.Pushpa.The tour of the zoo commenced with a tram ride, giving the students an exciting and educational opportunity to observe and learn about a variety of animals.The students marvelled at the diverse species, sparkling curiosity and a discussion amongst the group.
Each student received a goody bag containing colour pencils and colouring books providing a creative outlet after their tour. Additionally, lunch packages were distributed to all participants ensuring a fun and wholesome experience for the children and teachers alike.
Following the zoo tour, IWC Taiping President, K .Vijayalaxmi led a short quiz and essay writing session, encouraging the students to reflect on what they had seen and learnt during the visit.The engagement and enthusiasm of the students were evident and their participation further reinforced the educational value of the trip.
As a gesture of gratitude, headmistress, Madam Sandrigah presented the IWC of Taiping with a plaque and souvenirs, expressing appreciation for the club’s efforts in organising this meaningful event.
This initiative by the IWC of Taiping aligns with the club’s mission of supporting women and children, embodying the slogan “ Hearbeat of Humanity”.The zoo trip offered the students an opportunity to learn outside their usual classroom environment while fostering enjoyment and personal growth,
The event was a resounding success,creating lasting memories for the students and reinforcing the club’s commitment to community service and education.
