A Kaleidoscope of Colours and Flavours: IWCKL’s Diwali Celebration
On 3rd October 2024, the Hindu members of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) hosted a vibrant Diwali celebration where they took centre stage with an array of sumptuous feast for all members. The thoughtful gift of a beautiful handmade pouch was given to all members who attended and was definitely a delightful surprise to everyone.
The surprise did not end there as the members gave a surprise dance performance in their beautiful costumes creating a joyous and uplifting atmosphere.
Another significant milestone for IWCKL was the induction of Ms. Doreen Tan who had attended two previous meetings and also the club today had a special guest, Ms. Vennila Mardemootoo, from Mauritius, now residing in Setia Alam, who joined the celebration after having contacted IIW with a keen interest in becoming a member.
As the celebration drew to a close, the members danced to lively music, their hearts and stomachs full. The Diwali festivity at IWCKL was a resounding success, a testament to the club’s spirit of inclusivity, friendship, and cultural appreciation.
