A memorable year-end general meeting

The Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) concluded its mid-term review with a memorable General Meeting on 7th November 2024. The event was marked by a few highlights, including the induction of a new member and an insightful presentation by our very own member.

A warm welcome was extended to Ms. Vennila Mardemootoo from the Mauritius, who officially joined IWCKL. Despite exploring other Inner Wheel Clubs in the Klang Valley, Ms. Vennila was drawn to the camaraderie and impactful initiatives of IWCKL.

The meeting also featured a captivating talk by Dato Aminatun Karim, the former Ambassador for Ukraine, Croatia and Canada. In her presentation entitled “A Bed of Roses It Isn’t,” Datuk Aminatun shared her extraordinary experiences and challenges as a diplomat, offering a glimpse into the multifaceted world of international relations. Her insights provided valuable lessons on adaptability, resilience, and cultural sensitivity.

To conclude the event on a humanitarian note, a company showcased an innovative technology for providing clean water, particularly beneficial for indigenous communities and disaster-stricken regions. This demonstration aligned with IWCKL’s commitment to social responsibility and compassion.
