Visit to Yi Xing USJ Old Folks Home
On 22 January 2025, President Lena Chua and her members of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) made a quick visit to Yi Xing USJ Old Folks Home in Subang Jaya to bless the 29 residents there with angpows, a lunch treat, mandarin oranges, ice cream, titbits amongst others. Some members even performed a little dance to cheer these elderly folks.
Most of these residents are still hale and hearty; even the ones bedridden can still self-feed. However, they have been abandoned and are now completely homeless. Brought in by Kuala Lumpur General Hospital, UMMC, and even by MPPJ, the sight of them looking so forlorn can tear at one’s being. We feel thankful to the Home Operator who rents two units to house these folks. Clean, with helpers, and generous donors in the vicinity. It is hoped that they will be able to live out their twilight years in peace and tranquillity.
A small, but nevertheless a wonderful Project before we usher in the new Lunar Year.
