80th Birthday Young Celebration for IWCKL Honorary Member
The Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) recently celebrated the 80th birthday of their Honorary Member, Yang Amat Berbahagia Toh Puan Dr Aishah Ong, with a joyous and memorable event. The celebration, organized by IPP Rani with the invaluable assistance of IIWBD Juanita Lee and PDISO Foong Pack, took place at the Indulge Cafe in M Hotel. The function room was beautifully decorated with festive balloons, celebratory “80th” greetings, and elegant bouquets of roses adorning each table, complemented by scattered rose petals.
The highlight of the arrival was undoubtedly the warm and enthusiastic welcome given to Toh Puan Dr Aishah Ong. As she entered the room, everyone stood and joined in a lively rendition of “Happy Birthday,” dancing and singing with joy. Adding to the surprise and delight of the occasion, several of Toh Puan Dr Aishah Ong’s friends, some of whom are not members of the IWCKL, were also present to share in the celebration.
The program began with a warm welcome speech by IPP Rani, setting the tone for the afternoon. This was followed by a graceful solo dance performance to the song of 80 Years of You – Happy 80th Birthday Song Just For You! by PP Lynn Wong. The traditional cake-cutting ceremony then took place, followed by a heartfelt toast to the birthday celebrant. Toh Puan Dr Aishah Ong, clearly touched by the outpouring of love and affection, gave a short thank you speech, expressing her surprise and gratitude to everyone present.
Following the formal proceedings, guests enjoyed a sumptuous buffet lunch, savouring the delicious food and engaging in lively conversations. Adding an element of fun and friendly competition, IPP Rani organized a pop quiz about the birthday girl, with prizes awarded to those who answered correctly. The event was a resounding success, filled with laughter, joy, and fellowship. Everyone left with hearts and stomachs full, cherishing the memories of a truly special celebration.
