To the north to meet Iiw President
On Friday, 7th March 2025, VP Yoke Ling, Treasurer Datin Brenda, ISO Corina, and CC Sharon from the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) kicked off their day with an early road trip to Ipoh. The objective — to attend a double event for the northern part of the District, a ‘meet and greet’ with International Inner Wheel President Mamta Gupta, where representatives from 8 northern clubs and IWCKL and IWCSS were in attendance.
The atmosphere at Weil Hotel, Ipoh was lively! President Mamta Gupta’s arrival was a spectacle, complete with a vibrant Perak dance performance. The presentation on her work was genuinely encouraging and she was full of praises for District Chairman Vimalavathi steering the district and motivating the clubs in the right direction. Hi tea was then served with a great chance to connect with other Inner Wheel members and snap some photos with the IIW President.
As the evening approached, the IWCKL ladies headed for a second round to Travelodge Ipoh for a heart-warming Iftar Ramadhan with the kids from Yayasan Amanah An-Nur Maisarah. The children were thrilled, enjoying a yummy meal to the melodious Raya renditions, definitely a special experience for them and especially so during the Ramadhan month.
After a final farewell to IIW President Mamta Gupta, the four ladies embarked on their late-night drive back to Kuala Lumpur. Though they arrived home tired, they were definitely energized by the day’s events and the chance to reconnect with the Inner Wheel community and meet the IIW President again.
