Talk on Cervical Cancer and Bring a Friend Day
IWC Penang combined 2 events and held them on 15th March, ‘A talk related to Cervical Cancer’ and ‘Bring a friend’ day. It was a day when the talk on Cervical Cancer brought awareness, and the high tea that followed saw comradery among the members, their guests and the guest speaker and wife.
The afternoon started with the monthly club meeting at Arvind’s and Prevention of Cervical Cancer’ by Dr Somaskandar. Lots of questions were asked with clear answers given. The talk that created awareness for all of us was very knowledgeable indeed, even for me, a retired F6 biology teacher.
The high tea that followed, hosted by Arvind and Keshwinder, saw a good spread of food, mostly prepared by our hosts themselves. Great food, a variety of deserts, and a must-mention, the ‘Punjabi Masala Tea’. The day ended with a great note from the speaker. “If I was a lady I will be more then happy to be part of IWC Penang, especially if I get food like this and such great comradery.
