Grandmother in need
A IWC Penang member Gulbanu highlighted the plight of a 64 year old grandma requesting for help to repair her immobile car, a proton. She needed to paired it to transport her young grandchildren to school etc and also to transport her immobile husband to hospital.
The mother of the children had divorced her son and absconded to KL leaving the 4 children in the care of the grandmother and their father who is in no condition to work.The grandmother approached Gulbanu who requested IWC Penang’s help.
IWC Penang did a collection among its members and came up with the requested sum.
The car was repaired and the money was directly handed over to the mechanic in the form of a cheque on 24th March 2025.
Some of the ladies also brought along some provisions which was handed over to the Grandmother.
