A Helping Hand for Myanmar Earthquake Victims
May 1st, 2025 – The Inner Wheel Club of KL North recently extended its compassion to those affected by the devastating earthquake in Myanmar. This heartfelt initiative was made possible through dedicated donations from the members of IWC KL North.
We are immensely grateful for the invaluable assistance provided in making our aid project a success. Despite the significant geographical distance separating us from the scene of the calamity, the facilitation of our collected financial assistance was crucial. This vital link was made possible through the kind willingness of Mr. Thambirajah, the husband of our incoming treasurer, Mrs. Yoges. His cooperation ensured that our humble donation reached those most severely impacted by the earthquake.
In a special acknowledgment of this charitable effort, a certificate was presented to Mr. Thambirajah by Dr. Yee Yee Yin, Executive Committee Member of the Myanmar Red Cross Society, honouring the donation and acknowledging the support from our club.
This project allowed us, in our own small way, to contribute to alleviating the immense suffering faced by the victims. We believe that every gesture of support, no matter the scale, can bring a glimmer of hope during times of profound hardship.
The Inner Wheel Club of KL North extends its heartfelt thanks once again for the instrumental role played in this effort. This collaborative spirit, extending even to the immediate families of our members, truly embodies the wider network of care and global solidarity that is at the heart of Inner Wheel.
