Celebrating Mother’s Day
The Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) celebrated Mother’s Day today with a floral theme that transformed Hamzah Hall into a kaleidoscope of colours.
As President Lena concluded the business for the 10th General Meeting, she invited the special guest speaker for the day, Ms Lily Fu, the founder of Seniors Aloud and Vice President of U3A Malaysia who gave an eye opening talk about the golden years and how they can be spent. U3A Malaysia, or the University of the Third Age, Malaysia, is a movement dedicated to promoting lifelong learning and what can still be in store for older adults. U3A Malaysia offers a wide array of short courses covering various subjects. It was inspiring to hear about their work in encouraging active living during the golden years and what is still in store for many years to come. The ladies of IWCKL enjoyed the talk and participated in a Q&A session later.
A delicious hi-tea ensued after the talk. All in all, a truly special and memorable day.
