A Resounding Farewell: IWCKL Celebrates a Successful 2024/2025!
Today The Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) brought its 2024/2025 year to a close with a truly memorable General Meeting at the Hamzah Hall, Royal Selangor Club, filled with reflections, gratitude, and heartfelt goodbyes. The atmosphere was one of warmth and camaraderie as members gathered to celebrate a year of dedicated service and meaningful connections.
The meeting commenced promptly with President Lena at the helm, guiding the agenda following the formalities. Once that was done, the spotlight shifted to the Exco Members, each taking a moment to offer a concise yet impactful brief on their tenure. From the Vice President to the Secretary, Treasurer, Club Correspondent, and ISO, everyone shared insights into their contributions and experiences, painting a vivid picture of the collective efforts that defined the year.
President Lena then expressed her profound gratitude to the entire Exco team. Her words were a sincere acknowledgment of their unwavering hard work and steadfast support throughout her term.
President Lena’s Heartfelt Farewell
The highlight of the afternoon was undoubtedly President Lena’s farewell speech. It was a poignant and personal address, where she openly shared the journey of her tenure – a path that encompassed both hardships and immense joys. She spoke warmly of the privilege of serving the members and reiterated her deep appreciation for the invaluable assistance provided by her Exco and the wisdom shared by the esteemed Advisors: IIWBD Juanita Lee, PP Foong Pack, and PP To’ Puan Lam Leepin.
In a touching gesture of appreciation, President Lena then presented gifts to all the Exco Members and the dedicated sub-committee members who had tirelessly worked on various festivities and projects. She took the time to personally thank each individual, recognizing their commitment and the significant impact of their contributions.
The spirit of gratitude was reciprocated when the Exco members surprised President Lena with a beautiful white gold chain and pendant. This thoughtful farewell gift was a symbol of their immense appreciation for her inspiring leadership and dedication during her 2024/2025 tenure.
