Installation Of IWC Butterworth 2025

The Inner Wheel Club of Butterworth held its 7th Installation on Sunday, 17th August 2025 at Ixora Hotel in Perai, Penang. The Guest of Honour was Inner Wheel District 330’s Chairman (DC) Jillian Estrop.

More than 20 Club members gathered to celebrate the installation of the club’s fifth President, Dr Lalitha Ramasamy and the Club Executive Committee of term 2025-2026. Other well wishers who attended the function included Immediate Past District Chairman Vimalavathi Thayaman Pillai, President Sally Koh and ExCo members from IWC Penang, President Ishka Kaur from IWC Alor Setar, as well as family and friends of club members.

All Inner Wheel protocols such as the lighting of the Candle of Friendship and loyal toasts were adhered to. The Organising Committee ably chaired by Dr Jayashri Nerali presented attractive slides and ensured a smooth flow of the programme.

MCs Club Secretary Molly Anne Morris and Asst. Secretary Wong Vi Vian owned their tasks admirably.

Two new members Rabikha Hasni Suparman and Errna Nadhirah Kamalulil introduced by Dr Lalitha at the end of the previous term were formally inducted by DC Jillian. The speeches by outgoing President Shanthi Shanmugam, Dr Lalitha’s maiden address and DC Jillian’s inspirational message were all well received.

There was also a cake cutting of an attractive yet delicious cake bearing the latest Inner Wheel Presidential theme of ‘Step Up & Lead by Example’.

Afterwards, there were party games which gave way to a sumptuous lunch. Everyone had a wonderful time and there is much anticipation that IWC Butterworth would accomplish yet another incredible year of friendship and service under the umbrella of International Inner Wheel.
