Trip to Penang for District Chairman and President of IWC Penang’s Installation


The day began early on 23rd August 2025, with members assembling at 7.00 am at the meeting point and traveling in a VIP coach. We arrived in Penang in time for a sumptuous lunch at Michelin-guided Winn’s Cafe, serving authentic Nyonya cuisine. After lunch, members checked in at City Bayview Hotel in Batu Ferringhi, allowing time to freshen up and prepare for the evening. The group gathered in the ballroom at 6.30 pm for the grand dinner and installation ceremony.

IWCKL was represented by 21 members at the Installation of District Chairman Jillian Estrop and Inner Wheel Club of Penang President Sally Koh. It was a memorable and meaningful occasion, and we were delighted to be part of the celebration. A total of 12 visiting clubs together with the host club gathered, bringing 116 members to witness this dual installation.

The following day, fellowship continued with IWCKL members enjoying a delightful excursion to Penang Hill, sampling Penang’s famous cuisine, indulging in shopping, and sharing laughter, accompanied by our gracious host, President Sally.

After breakfast, members gathered for a group photo at the hotel before starting the journey back to Kuala Lumpur. The return trip included a stop in Ipoh for lunch and more shopping, followed by an early seafood dinner at Tualang. The group arrived safely home at about 9.00 pm, concluding a memorable and enjoyable fellowship trip.
