Dual Installation of President Sally Koh
and DC Jillian Estrop
It was a whirlwind of preparation—invites, budgeting, sponsors, magazine, entertainment, venue, menu, hotel, and countless last-minute requests. But when the evening finally arrived, everything fell perfectly into place. Hats off to the Installation Committee for their dedication both in front and behind the scenes.
The Inner Wheel Club of Penang was honoured to host a dual installation: that of President Sally Koh and District Chairman Jillian Estrop. As Jillian hails from IWC Penang, President Sally and her team embraced the challenge wholeheartedly, making it a night to remember.
The evening began with the walk-in of Guests of Honour—DC Jillian, IPDC Vimalavathi, President Sally, IPP Paramjit, and Charter President Bajan—followed by the National and State Anthems, Loyal Toasts, the Lighting of the Candle of Friendship, and its touching recital.
From there, the mood lifted with a vibrant Boria dance, and a heartwarming sing-along of One Thousand Million Smiles. Singer Kotthie then took the stage, filling the hall with music as dinner and celebration flowed.
The highlight was the Installation Ceremony. IPP Paramjit officially installed President Sally, who introduced her Executive Committee for 2025–2026. Next came the much-awaited moment: DC Jillian’s installation by IPDC Vimalavathi, followed by her inspiring address and the introduction of her committee.
A touching exchange followed when President Sally presented DC Jillian with a token of appreciation and a personal gift. The official cake-cutting brought cheers, and the night closed with a second round of dancing—Dancing Queen setting the floor alive with joy.
For IWC Penang, this event was more than ceremony. It was a celebration of unity across generations, where the wisdom of senior members blended with the energy of younger ones. What could have been solemn became a night of laughter, friendship, and true sisterhood—one that will be remembered for years to come.
