Patriotism Pass Down – Merdeka Celebration


The Merdeka Celebration was joyfully held with the preschool children of Tadika Warisan Maju, Taman Botanic, Klang, with the aim of nurturing patriotism, unity, and love for the nation among young minds. The meaningful programme was supported by members of the Inner Wheel Club of Klang (IWK), preschool teachers, and enthusiastic preschoolers.

The celebration commenced with a lively march-past, where the children proudly carried the Jalur Gemilang, demonstrating their patriotism and national pride. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem and spirited chants of “Merdeka!”, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and love for the country.

Adding colour and excitement to the event was a National Day-themed fashion show, where the children creatively showcased costumes reflecting the spirit of Merdeka. Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Klang warmly participated alongside the preschoolers, fostering a sense of joy, friendship, and community engagement.

To further encourage creativity and appreciation for the nation’s heritage, an art competition was organised, providing the children with an opportunity to express their patriotic spirit through art and craft activities.

As a lasting contribution to the preschool, the Inner Wheel Club of Klang presented a stone table bearing the Inner Wheel logo, which was installed in the preschool garden for the children’s learning and recreational activities.

The event concluded with light refreshments shared among teachers, parents, preschoolers, and IWK members, strengthening bonds of friendship and community spirit.

Heartfelt appreciation is extended to all members who attended and to Ms. Sathiadevi Paneerselvam for her generous support and contribution in making the celebration meaningful, memorable, and enriching for the children.
