8th Club’s Foundation Day Amid The Radiance Of Deepavali.


The Inner Wheel Club of Apsaras commemorated its 8th Birthday and held a post-celebration of its Foundation Day, originally observed on 17th September, with a meaningful gathering on 25th October 2025. It was a double celebration bringing members together in unity and joy. The celebration also reflected the spirit, growth and achievements of the IWC of Apsaras since its inception in 2017.

Members and invited guests gathered to honour the club’s journey, reaffirm its commitment to friendship and service, and celebrate the strong bonds that continue to inspire its work.

The celebration was graciously hosted at the residence of the Charter President, Madam Kamala Yeap, providing a welcoming and intimate setting. The residence was tastefully decorated with banners and floral arrangements, creating a festive and dignified ambience for the occasion. A specially arranged throne for Charter President Kamala Yeap along with a display of the club’s registration documents, highlighted the proud history and official standing of the club.

The programme commenced with a graceful walk-in by members carrying colourful mini umbrellas, accompanied by music, creating a charming and ceremonial introduction to the celebration. This was followed by the recitation of the Candle of Light and a meaningful crowning and sashing ceremony was then held to honour CP Kamala Yeap, acknowledging her leadership, vision and contributions to the formation and growth of Inner Wheel Club of Apsaras. A heartfelt poem recited by member Madam Endra beautifully captured the spirit of our journey, blending nostalgia with uplifting moments and perfectly encapsulating 8 years of togetherness, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate the club’s 8th anniversary and Foundation Day.

The Charter President then delivered an inspiring address, sharing the story of the formation of Apsaras, the significance behind the club logo, and the initial number of members enrolled. Her speech highlighted the club’s mission and goals, key milestones and achievements, and acknowledged the dedication and support of members and well-wishers. She expressed heartfelt gratitude, outlined a clear vision for the future, and concluded with a motivating call to action, reinforcing a strong sense of belonging and unity among all members.

The celebration concluded on a joyful and festive note with a joint Deepavali celebration. Members enjoyed a delightful potluck featuring a wide variety of dishes and refreshments, followed by singing, dancing, and fellowship, which added colour, joy, and cultural warmth to the occasion. The combined celebration strengthened bonds of friendship and left members inspired to continue the meaningful service and camaraderie of the Inner Wheel Club of Apsaras.
