SJK(T) Ladang Coalfields Deepavali Project
The Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) on 3 rd October 2025 , carried out its Deepavali School Project at SJK(T) Ladang Coalfields, bringing joy and festive cheer to the school community.
The event was attended by 20 members, including Honorary Member Yang Amat Berbahagia Toh Puan Dr. Aishah Ong and President Yoke Ling. Upon arrival, members were warmly welcomed by the school children dressed in colourful dance costumes, creating a lively and heartwarming atmosphere.
IWCKL and well wishers contributed grocery vouchers worth RM360 and RM30 ang pow packets, along with gifts and school bags to each of the 31 B40 underprivileged students. A classical Indian dance performance by one of the students was beautifully executed. Then a warm and touching speech by President Yoke Ling preceded the presentation of the sponsored items, reminding everyone of the spirit of giving and compassion.
Lunch for the entire school community of 152 students — including teachers, , security guards, and cleaners — was kindly sponsored by an IWCKL member. After the school programme, members were invited to a special lunch at the meeting room, hosted by the supermarket owner from whom the grocery vouchers were purchased.
The smiles on the children’s faces reflected the success and joy of the occasion. It was indeed a meaningful Deepavali project — one that truly embodied the Inner Wheel spirit of friendship and service.
