Treasured magic in Kochi: the South Zone Mélange

Four members of IWC AS — Shantha, Nesamani, Megalai and Padmini attended the South Zone Meet (SZM), or Mélange, held in Kochi, India on 4 – 5 October 2025.

Mélange — meaning “a mixture” or “a medley” — captured the spirit of the event. From the moment the foursome arrived, they were enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance, energy, and excellence. SZM Mélange 2025 was not just a gathering — it was an experience to remember and treasure.

The dedication, meticulous planning, and attention to the smallest details were evident throughout. It was clear that months of hard work had gone into creating such a flawless event. Every element was thoughtfully curated: the stage, the spellbinding performances, the inspiring speakers, the engaging lineup of programmes, the competitions, the backwaters boat ride, the creative stalls, and the delectable food. But above all, it was the genuine warmth and gracious hospitality of the hosts that touched the most, something the four members will carry in their hearts forever. The highlight of the visit was Padmini winning the poetry competition with a poem that she had composed and written specially for Melange.
